Privacy Policy

Handled (“Handled,” “we,” “us”) cares about your privacy and collects as little as possible. This policy describes how we handle information on the handledai.app marketing website. The Handled app is still in development; a dedicated in-app privacy policy will accompany its launch and will govern any documents or personal data the app processes.

What we collect on this site

• Waiting-list email. If you join the waiting list, we store the email address you submit so we can let you know when Handled launches. Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms (our hosting provider) on our behalf.
• Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our host records standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We don’t use it to build advertising profiles.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell or share your information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising.
• We do not run third-party ad networks or cross-site tracking pixels.
• We use no non-essential cookies on this site.

How we use your email

Only to let you know about Handled’s launch and early access. Nothing else. Every message includes a one-click way to opt out, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the information we hold about you;
• Correct it, or delete it;
• Opt out of our emails at any time.

Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have these rights too, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. Because we don’t sell or share personal information, there’s nothing to opt out of on that front, but you’re welcome to contact us to confirm. To make a request, use our contact form.

When the Handled app launches

The app is designed to be private by default: Handled is built to store your documents in your own cloud (such as Google Drive or Dropbox). Today, while that connection is still being built, documents are stored securely on Handled’s own servers; once it is live, Handled will keep only the minimum it needs to organize and find things: metadata, a secure hash, and a timestamp. Any feature that involves health information will be strictly optional and will ask for your separate, explicit consent before it’s turned on. Full details will be in the in-app privacy policy at launch.

Data retention & security

We keep waiting-list emails until launch or until you ask us to remove them, and we hold data with reputable providers (such as Netlify) under their security practices. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This site and Handled are intended for adults (18+). We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
